Virginia’s photographic collage and poems
Poems by Virginia age 8
The feeling of the water,
And the lake flowing.
You feel you can touch the bottom of the ocean
And you get an exciting emotion!
When you’re at the top of the mountain,
It feels like you're the water from a fountain.
You feel you can reach the sky,
You’re way up there, so high!
Horse hooves touch the camp grounds,
Their neighing sounds.
Their fur is very shiny,
The ponies are very tiny!
About my creative response
“I thought at first that I wanted to create a poster or write a poem, so I decided to write short poems of what I love to do and create a poster of the activities that I have done before.”
When have you been ‘true to yourself’?
“I can be true to myself when I am calm, and I reach my happy place inside me. Sometimes I am true to myself when I have a different opinion compared to most of my classmates.”
What is your favourite Shakespeare play?
“My favourite Shakespeare play is Romeo & Juliet, and, in the play, my favourite character is Romeo. I don’t have a favourite Shakespeare quote because all of them are wonderful.”
