As part of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s continual development of accessibility across our properties and interpretation, we have worked closely with VocalEyes. VocalEyes specialise in creating audio descriptions and provide opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to experience arts and heritage organisations across the UK.

Through this partnership we have created audio described content such as introductions to the Trust's Town Houses and insights into 30 items in our collection.

The following exhibition starts below with an audio description of Shakespeare Birthplace itself, where Shakespeare was born and grew up. Continue scrolling to find slides featuring a selection of these 30 objects, which feature both audio descriptions and the text transcription for each object.
