Receipt from Edward Paine of Stratford-upon-Avon, victualler and Mary his wife (formerly Mary Walls, niece of Richard Walls late of Stratford-upon-Avon, and daughter of William Walls) to Thomas Nott, for £60, being a legacy to Mary Paine due under the will of Richard Walls (see DR882/26-27), payment of which had been included in the purchase price of the house in High Street when sold in 1775.
