Description
Stating that on the day and year specified in the declaration of William Bott, he unexpectedly met with the said Bott in the house of one Thomas Dyxon called the Swan. William Bott seeing him standing there, with great vehemence exclaimed, "Are you there? thou arte an honeste man! and I wylle leye the faste by the heelez, for thou arte a vylleyne and a rowge"; to which Rowland Whelar retorted, "Suche good rewardes thou doeste recompence them that have takene thy parte, but before thou shalle prove me a rowge, I do truste to see the sette upon the pyllorye."
