Burton Dassett: early deeds, Knightcote, a grant
Description
Grant by Henry de Bray, lord of Throp to Simon de Kintecote, son of Ralph de Kintecote, and Agnes his wife, sister of the grantor, of all his lands and capital messuage with chapel, which he holds by grant of the said Simon, in the vill of Kintecote [Knightcote]; together with villeins belonging to the same, with their goods and chattels, as well as all services and rents.
To hold to the said Simon and Agnes for term of their lives, with reversion to Sir John, son of the said Simon and Agnes for his life and then to Richard, brother of John, and his legitimate heirs. If Richard dies without lawful issue, the property to pass to Thomas Meklesfeld and Rose his wife, sister of John and Richard, and her heirs forever.
To be held of chief lord of fee for service due and accustomed, according to the tenor of a fine to levied in Kings Bench before Ralph Hengham and fellow justices.
