Burton Dassett: early deeds, Broad Dassett, an agreement

Description

Agreement between Edith, widow of Walter Merchant of Broad Dassett and Otuer[?] her son on the one part, and Robert called Stedeman and Alice his wife of the same place, on the other part, whereby Edith and Otuer devise to Robert and Alice, for their lives, a certain messuage with croft adjoining beyond the garden of the said messuage, which is situated between the messuages of William Alleyn and William Barker (bercatoris) in Broad Dassett. To hold the same for their lives and the longer liver, paying annually 5 shillings at two feasts in lieu of all services.

Warranty clause. Witnesses:
Sir Ralph, perpetual vicar of Dasset,
Ralph Merchant of the same;
John Bel of the same,
William Bele of the same,
William Osmund of the same.
