Grant by William Butteler, late of Coventry, son and heir of Henry Butteler of Coventry, deceased, to Edmund Verney, esquire and Elizabeth his wife, of his manors of Kingston and Compton Mordak alias Compton Verney with all their lands, tenements, woods, warrens, wardships, marriages, releifs, escheats, rents, reversions c. which Henry Boteler his father, deceased, Thomas Littelton, sergeant at law, John Broun, John Bellers, Everard Diggeby, John Temse, John Seggesmond, clerks, Thomas Boughton, Thomas Moston, Richard Wode, Richard Prudham, John Justice, clerk and William Braytoft had by gift and feoffment of Ralph Boteler, lord of Sudeley, knight; John, Lord Beauchamp, knight; William Breton; Thomas Hill, John Redehill and Lawrence Viler, clerks.

They had it by gift and feoffment of Richard Verney, father of the said Edmund, now deceased. To hold to the said Edmund and Elizabeth in tail male with default to the right heirs of Edmund, of the chief lord of the fee for services due and accustomed.

Appointment by William of Leonard Verney of Compton and Stephen Walton as his attornies to enter into the said premises and take possession before delivering seisin to Edmund and Elizabeth according to the form and tenor of these writings.
