Description

Conveyance by Lease and Release from Edward Attwood of Great Alne, gent., to Thomas Hopkins of Cookhill in the parish of Inkeberrow, co. Worcs., yeoman for £62 3s 0d, of two closes called Cliffe Closes and another close separated from the said closes by the Great Alne/Henley-in-Arden road containing nine acres, bounded on the East by Rushy Plecks furlong and shooting upon a field formerly belonging to Edward Green, deceased, then of Robert Bloxam on the South, all which premises were situate in Great Alne and were late in possession of Thomas Woodward and were purchased by Thomas Attwood, on 2 and 3 April 1706, of Richard Martin of London, silk weaver, who was the son and heir of John Martin late of Warwick, yeoman, deceased, nephew and heir of Richard Martin late of Handsworth, co. Staffs., gent., deceased, and Mary the wife of the said Richard Martin, silk weaver, subject to the life estate of the said Mary Martin and of a mortgage dated 25 March 1692, being a demise of a term of 1000 years.
