Probate of the will (28 Nov 1787) and codicil (13 May 1788) of William Edkins, Welford, miller. - Annuity of £20 p.a. to wife Mary in lieu of dower, charged on premises at Kemps Green, Tanworth and Hunger Hill, Wootton Wawen. - Two houses at Kemps Green in the occupations of John Cookes and John Sanders; 3 cottages at Kemps Green in the occupation of John Edkins, Edward Smith and Robert Smith. Messuage at Henley-in-Arden in the occupation of --- Shakespeare; land at Hunger Hill, Wootton Wawen in the occupation of James Waters. - To sons, John and Thomas Edkins, leasehold premises in Henley rented by the Churchwardens Overseers to sons John and Thomas equally during term of leases. - Furniture of parlour and chamber over to wife Mary. - £100 each to daughters, Elizabeth and Mary Edkins. Residue of estate equally between sons John and Thomas. Brother John Edkins and son Thomas Edkins joint executors. Codicils: Revoking bequests of £100 each to daughters and making bequest of £250 each to them. Bequeaths all household furniture to wife.
