Description

Gift in frankalmoign with warranty from William de Barre of Corley, John Spenser of the same and Thomas Falk' of the same to God and the cathedral church of the Blessed Mary of Coventr' and to Richard prior of the same of a moiety of a messuage and a moiety of a croft in Corley, which Richard Tymms (?) once held, and of which they were enfeoffed by Henry Harper of Allesley and Matilda his wife, by the release of John Harper of the same; which moiety of a messuage lies next to land late of Simon Couper and which moiety of a croft lies between land of the said Simon on both sides; to hold of the chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: John de Fylongley, John Kenon of the same, John Falk' of Corley, William Holbroke of Kerusley, William Northcrofte of the same and others. Dated at Corley, on the feast of St. Egidius the abbot, 13 Henry IV. 3 Seals on tags: circular, green. i) The letter M crowned ii) Armorial shield, quartered. i and iv a saltire; ii and iii a lion's head; the whole within a gothic frame.
