Description

Gift with warranty from Richard de Holond' of Coventr' to Henry le Flouter of Coventr' and Marieta Catormase of Henley his wife and their heirs of all that tenement in `vico comitis' [Earl Street] in Coventr' which he has by the gift of the said Henry lying between the tenement formerly belonging to Jordan de Schepey and the grantor's tenement in breadth, and extending in length from the High Street to the grantor's land; to hold the same of the chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: Nicholas Myschel, mayor of Coventr', Richard Freberne, and William de Happesford', bailiffs of the same, Nicholas Haytale, John Haytale, William de Taunton' and others. Dated at Coventr' in the feast of St. Peter ad Vincula, 24 Edward III Seal on tag: circular, brown. An ape sitting in a tree (?) Tag a portion of an earlier deed. Endorsed: Ricardus Holend.
