Feoffment from John Bugges of Exall in Coventr' gent., to Thomas Tillesley of Coventr' gent. for £100 of all that messuage or tenement called Rayes Inn and a garden to the said messuage adjacent in Coventr' on the east side of Mutchparke Street between the lands of the Mayor and Bailiffs of Coventr' on the south and the land of Richard Barker, draper, on the north; also a croft adjoining the said gardens extending in length from the said garden on the north 32 yards and in length by the wall next Whytefryer Lane 39 yards and extending in breadth 42 1/2 yards, and the said croft abuts on the land of the said Richard Barker and the land of William Harrys on the north side, upon the land of the said William Harrys on the east side and the said Whytefryer Lane on the south side; which premises are now in the occupation of John Barker draper. Appointment of Thomas Prytchearde gent. and Thomas Pilkington, yeoman, as attornies to deliver seisin. Dated: 4 April, 37 Elizabeth. Signed: By me John Bugges. Seal on tag: oval, red.
