Description

Copy of a memorandum of agreement between Francis Gregory of Stivichall, esq., and Richard Darley of Stonleigh, agent for James Henry Leigh of Stonleigh Abbey, esq., to an exchange of land made on the enclosure of the common fields of Stonleigh: the said Francis Gregory agrees to convey to the said Richard Darley a small piece of land in Canley in the occupation of Charles Green and as much of his allotment on Westwood Heath, containing sixteen acres three roods and seven perches, which the Inclosure Commissioners shall judge, together with the small piece of land, to be equal to a small piece of land at Hill, containing one acre, in the occupation of Thomas Farmer, three cottages and gardens adjoining in Green Lane containing together two acres and thirty-seven perches, in the occupations of Thomas Baseley, William Green, Thomas King, John Prince and Thomas Worrall, and two allotments adjoining the cottages containing three roods and twenty-one perches: which small piece of land, three cottages and two allotments the said Richard Darley agrees to convey to the said Francis Gregory: and the said Francis Gregory agrees to give to the said James Henry Leigh twelve months notice of his intention to dispossess the tenants of the said cottages so that new cottages may be built for them.
