Lease from Brother William Abbot of Cumb' to Henry Wryzth of lands in Brynkelowe

Lease with warranty from Brother William, Abbot of Cumb' and the Convent of the same place to Henry Wryzth [Wright] of Brawndon' of a certain portion of land enclosed at the end of the town of Brynkelowe called le ?Domgren with the pool and the whole of the dam of the pool together with the reversion of the whole of the goods which Alice Rows now has in the said portion of land and with one croft there lying between the croft formerly of Richard Tomson' and the meadow called Chirchemedow; to hold the same for a term of 52 years from the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle [21 December] after the date of these presents rendering annually for the first 26 years 17 shillings payable at the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist [24 June] and the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle aforesaid by equal payments, and for the remaining 26 years 20 shillings payable as aforesaid; and the said Henry agrees to erect on the said enclosed portion of land called le Domgrene one new water mill within the space of a year and a half from the date of these presents at his own expense, for the building of which the said Abbot and Convent for the initial building and reparation will find seasoned and sufficient timber; and for the maintenance of the Mill House aforesaid they will likewise find small timber from their enclosed woods during the whole of the term aforesaid. Dated at the Chapter House of the House aforesaid the day before the Nones of November, 4 Henry IV. Tag, seal missing.
