Bargain and sale from Sir Francis Englefylde knt., Thomas Whyte esq. and John Yate gent., executors of the will of Dame Elizabeth Englefylde widow deceased, to the Rt. Hon. Sir William Wyndesor knt., Lord Wyndesor of the wardship and marriage of Edward Ferrers esq. cousin and heir of Sir Edward Ferrers knight deceased, now the ward of the said Sir Francis, Thomas and John, and all the letters patent, grants etc. relating to the said wardship previously granted on 26 May 30 Henry VIII [1538] to the said Dame Elizabeth. Consideration: £200, of which £100 was to be paid at the time of transfer of the said rights of wardship, £50 at the feast of Easter next to be paid at the font stone of the Temple Church in London between the hours of twelve and three in the afternoon, and £50 the following Michaelmas at the same time and place, the said Sir William Wyndesor binding himself in the penal sum of £400 to pay the said sum. 14 November 1 Edward VI [1547].
