Counterpart of indenture of assignment between Job Dighton of the Middle Temple, London, esquire of the one part and William ffetherston of Studley, co. Warwick, gentleman, Bridget Knottisford and Elianor Knottisford, daughters of ffoulke Knottisford, esquire, deceased, of the other part, reciting that ffoulke Knottisford by indenture dated 19 June 1641, in consideration of £200, mortgaged to Job Dighton the lands in Studley, co. Warwick called Barbers ffeild and Barbers ffeild meadowe, ground lying between the River of Arrowe and a foard called Washfoard in the occupation of Thomas Dewes, the messuage late in the occupation of John Lawrence, the close adjoining the brook there containing c.5 acres, arrable land in the common ffields known as the Hadeways c.1 acre, and c.2 acres more of arrable land lying in Wotland late in the occupation of John Lawrence, all which lands were to be held by Job Dighton for a term of 98 years at a yearly rent of a peper Corne if it were demanded, and reciting that the principal money was not repaid on the appointed days and there was then due £190 for charges and interest at the rate of £6 per centum, and reciting further that the said premises were conveyed by ffoulkes Knottisford and John Knottisford esquire his son and heir then or late called Sir John Knottisford, knight by indenture dated 2 November 1645 to George Savadge of Bithell, co. Worcester, esquire and John Bearcroft of Mearegreene, co. Worcs., gentleman for 200 years in trust for Bridget and Elinore, and that Job Dighton had lately obtained judgement for the recovery of the premises, as by the records of the Upper Bench Court at Westminster might more fully appear and then witnessing that Job Dighton, in consideration of £190 paid him by William ffetherston, assigned to the latter the premises before recited for the rest of the term of 98 years.
