Cheeke, Russell Tipping families: Archer of Tanworth

Description

Lady Russell's case. [?Case pleaded before the lords commissioners of the Treasury.] The account stated shows arrears of £4,885:2:0 1/2 on Lady Russell's annuity at Michaelmas 1716 and overpayment of £3,133:3:7 on Lady Dorchester's. Lady Dorchester says that Harrison is also agent to Lady Russell, but he was long since discharged. Lady Russell knows nothing of a stop being put to Lady Dorchester's £3,500 per ann., and never desired it at all: all she desires is for the agents to be called to account before the commissioners of the revenue for Ireland and for them to be made to pay over the surplus remaining in their hands. [undated, 1717]
