Cheeke, Russell Tipping families: Archer of Tanworth

Description

Samuel Ogle [a commissioner of the revenue for Ireland] to [? Lord Orford]. Letter. Lady Dorchester was first postponed by a prior grant to the Duke of Ormond which was managed by Sir Stephen Fox, then by claims of remittal and respite on account of waste and destruction in time of war, and now the accounts are perplexed by the negligence (if not knavery) of her agents and some of the collectors. The commissioners intend to ascertain what has been paid to her agents and leave her to take her own remedy against them. Lady Dorchester complains of great injustice in the report of 12th February on Lady Russell's memorial. Dublin, 11 Jul 1706
