Extract from Roll of a Court of the Crown Manor of Rowington held 5 May 12 James when Anne, widow of Thomas Shakespere, deceased since the last court, was admitted tenant for life in free-bench of a messuage and yard of land in Mowseley [Moseley] and surrendered the same to the use of John Shakespeare, son and heir of the said Thomas, and his heirs for ever; the names of the homage being Henry Atwood, Robert Warner, Robert Booth, Henry Cowper, Edward Tibbottes, Richard Kylworth, George Slye, John Hill, John Mylburne, John Saunders, Thomas Williams, Thomas Meysey, Thomas Benford, William Horsley and George Holmes.
