Probate dated 29(?) February 1699 of the Will, dated 29 January 1699, of Alice Lord of Stratford-upon-Avon, widow, proved at Worcester, with the following bequests: To her son, Edward Lord, 1 shilling; to her son-in-law Joshua Edwards, 1 shilling; to her grandson, John Baxter, two houses in Stratford-upon-Avon now in the tenure of John Baxter and Thomas Timms, stipulating that he should repay to her son-in-law Joshua Edwards, the money he had 'laid out upon the house wee both live in'; to John Baxter, who is appointed sole executor, residue of the estate. Witnesses: Lawrence Cox, Anne Griffin and Erasmus Banbury.
