Conveyance: Chapel Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon
Description
Conveyance from Roger Cockelowe of Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman, and Elizabeth his wife, to George Turnor of Clifford on Stour, husbandman, of all their lands and tenements which they had in the town of Stratford in Walker Street [Chapel Lane] adjoining the Bancrofte, situate between the land of the Guild of the Holy Cross of Stratford on the South and the land of Thomas Hubonde, in which Henry Dowlar lives on the North; to hold the said premises to the said George Turnor and his heirs for ever of the chief Lord of that fee by the services thence owing and customary. Witnesses: Olifer Lyghttfoott, Principal Bailiff of the town of Stratford, and William Grene and Richard Woodell, sub-bailiffs. Dated the 28th [?November] 19 Henry VIII. [1527] Two seals of red wax upon one tag, both broken.
