Probate of the Will dated 28 April 1825, of Gore Townsend of Honington Hall, esq., mentioning his sister, Anne Tempest, his mother Judith Townsend, his wife, Lady Elizabeth Townsend (formerly Windsor), his daughters, Elizabeth (who married Edward G. M. Gale esq.), Sophia, Horatia, deceased, Harriet, who married Sir Gray Skipwith, and his daughter, Louisa, who married John Fullerton; also his son, Thomas, who married Mary Ann Scott, his eldest son Henry Townsend and his sons, Edward James Townsend, William Townsend, Joseph Townsend and Frederick Townsend. Concerns hereditaments in Honington and the advowson of Ilmington. Witnesses: William M. Forster, Lincolns Inn; James Easton and Edward L. Nodin, clerks to Messrs. Forster Frere and Forsters. With codicil, dated 18 October 1825, witnessed by William Allen, William Sweet and John Ward. Proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury by Henry and William Townsend, 2 March 1826.
