Description

Conveyance from Edward Sheldon of Beoley, co. Worcs., esq., and William Sheldon, esq. (son and heir apparent of the said Edward Sheldon), to John Savage of Edgiock, co. Worcs., esq., and John Savage, gent. (son of the said John Savage, senior, and Anne his late wife, deceased, a daughter of George Savage), for £5,000 to the said Edward Sheldon paid by John Savage, senior, of a half moiety of the manor of Compton Scorpion in the parish of Ilmington and of all their lands in the said manor containing 300 acres, more particularly therein specified; to hold to the use of John Savage senior for his life with remainder to the use of John Savage junior and his heirs. Witnesses: George Bonner, William Bentley, Arthur Langston and Thomas Taylor.
