Description

Counterpart of lease for 99 years from Dame Mary Yate of Harvington in Chaddesley Corbett, widow of Sir John Yate bart. deceased, and Sir Charles Yate, son and heir of the said Sir John to Thomas Foley the elder of Great Witley, Worcs. esq. and Thomas Foley the younger, his son and heir, of the right to make a dam across the river called Barnett Brook beneath the bridge called Barnett Bridge in Chaddesley Corbett, adjoining the road from Worcester to Stourbridge, upon condition that the said dam should not harm the corn mills of the said Dame Mary called Barnett Mills, with the right to draw water from the said brook over lands (described), together with other rights (described).
