Settlement of property: Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Indenture between John Copeland the elder of Stratford-upon-Avon, tailor and Alice, his wife of the first part, John Copeland the younger, son and heir apparent of the said John Copeland the elder of the same town, tailor, and Catherine his wife, of the second part, and Samuel Holtam of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., and Joseph Smith of the same, ironmonger, (reciting that a marriage had been solemnized between the said John Copeland the younger and Catherine his wife, daughter of Ursula Timbrill of Preston-upon-Stour), whereby a tenement in Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, in the occupation of the said John Copeland the elder and John Copeland the younger, having a tenement in the occupation of Elizabeth Castell, widow, on the East side and a tenement in the occupation of John Hornbee on the West side thereof, are conveyed for the use and benefit of the said John Copeland and Catherine, his wife after the death of his parents. Witnesses: Josiah Dowley and Samuel Phillips.
