Counterpart of indenture of lease between John Keck the elder of Marston Sicca, co. Gloucs., yeoman, of the one part and William Keck of Pebworth, co. Gloucs., yeoman, his eldest son and Mary the wife of William, of the other part, reciting that Sir Edwarde Grevill, knight, by the name of Edward Grevill of Millcote, co. Warwick, esquire, Robert Winter of Huddington, esquire and Sir Rice Griffin,knight,by the name of Rice Griffin of Burnells, Broome, co. Warwick, esquire, by a pair of indentures dated 31 July 1596 had demised to John Keck for a term of 100 years the messuage in Pebworth then late in the occupation of Richard Kight and two yardes of land in Pebworth and Broad Marston, co. Gloucs., then late in the occupation of Richard Right and then of John Keck, all which premises Sir Edward Grevill, Robert Winter and Sir Rice Griffin then lately had by grant in fee of Edward Bushell the son of Thomas Bushell the elder then of Broad Marston, esquire and sithence Knight; reciting also that Edward Sheldon of Weston, co. Warwick, esquire and Walter Savage of Broadway, co. Worcs., esquire and John Keck the elder by deed indented dated 4 October 1606 had granted and confirmed to Henry Cowper of Marston Sicca, yeoman, and Thomas Warner of Wormington, co. Gloucs., husbandman, an annuity of £15 arising from two messuages and 2 1/2 yards of land in Marston Sicca then or late in the occupation of John Keck, in trust for the use of Mary the wife of William Keck after the latter's death; and then witnessing that John Keck demised to William Keck and Mary his wife the said messuage in Pebworth and the said two yards of land in Pebworth and Broad Marston for a term of 40 years, if John Keck the younger, Jeffery Keck and Nicholas Keck or any of them so long should live and subject to certain other conditions.
