Description

Arbitration of Richard Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick and Aumale, Lord de Lisle, Captain of Calais in matter depending between Hugh Coksey and Richard Archer: Cokesey is to pay pound;20 to Archer at the Feast of the Purification following, and a further pound;20 at Easter, or 100 marks at the Nativity of St John the Baptist, in full settlement of all claims. On receipt of sums specified, Arcvher to hand over the deed granting an annuity of pound;6.13.4 from the manor of Coksey which was made by Sir Walter Coksey to Thomas Archer and Agnes his wife, daughter of the said Sir Walter, at the time of their marriage; which Thomas and Agnes were parents of Richard Archer. Within 4 days of the delivery of the deed, Coksey and Archer are to execute mututal releases from all actions. Dated at Salwarpe. No signature or seal. Endorsed `The Tytull of Overton Saussee'
