Abstract of title of Edward Richardson, Shottery, yeoman to cottage in Butt Lane [Shottery] lately rebuilt, beginning with the sale by William Combe of Old Stratford, esq. 2 Nov 1654 to Thomas Smith of Old Stratford and Mary his wife. 24 25 March 1725/6 (old style) Lease and Release by John Lord the younger, Stratford-upon-Avon, baker and Ambrose Sheldon, Willicott, Glos., yeoman, executors and trustees of sale of will (1718) of Anne Marshall, Old Stratford, widow, to William Horne, Old Stratford, flaxman for £50 of 2 cottages in Butt Lane, Old Stratford, abutted on west by messuage formerly of John Compton and on east by brick wall belonging to College which messuages were formerly the houses of John Powell, deceased, then of Edward Richardson who rebuilt them and afterwards conveyed them to Richard Marshall, husband of said Ann.
