Description

Deed of Partition between Joseph Bradley Read, Worcester, wine merchant (surviving Trustee of the Will of William Porter of Old Stratford, gent., deceased), Mary Ann Caldcleugh of New Elvet, Durham, spinster, Francis Caldcleugh of the same place, builder (children and heirs of Francis Caldcleugh and his wife Hannah, nee Porter, daughter of the said William), Esther Bumpus (nee Porter) daughter of the said William and wife of Rev. Thomas Bumpus, Loughborough, Leics., Baptist minister, respecting premises in Waterside, Henley Street and Chapel Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon, a moiety of the rents of which were bequeathed, after the death of the wife of William Porter, Betty, by the said William Porter in his Will dated 14 February 1842, to Francis Caldcleugh his son-in-law (since deceased) and Esther Porter his daughter, now Bumpus. Testator died 12 August 1843 and his widow died 3 February 1865.
