Lease and release: Casemores House and Close, land in Leamington Priors and land in Sydenham Meadow

Attested copy of lease and release from Robert Lawrence of Wappenbury, farmer, and Mary his wife, with the consent of Thomas Hopper, late of Whitnash but now of Warwick, yeoman, John Whitehead of Barford, gentleman, and Dame Jane Biddulph of Southampton, widow and executrix of Sir Theophilus Biddulph, late of Birdingbury, Baronet, to Francis Robbins of Lillington, gentleman, and his trustee, Bartholomew Robbins of Milverton, miller, (reciting a mortgage, dated 3 April 1773 from John Lawrence father of the said Robert Lawrence to the said Thomas Hopper of a piece of land in Sydenham Field in Leamington Priors, containing 8 acres 16 perches (boundaries described) which had descended to him from his uncle, Robert Lawrence [see DR26/31-32], for 1000 years to secure £250; reciting also DR26/38-39, and the will of Sir Theophilus Biddulph, dated 11 May 1796, appointing the said Dame Jane Biddulph his executrix), for £1590 paid to Robert Lawrence, £250 to Thomas Hopper to discharge the mortgage of 3 April 1773, £1000 to John Whitehead to discharge the mortgage of 27 August 1794, and £360 to Dame Jane Biddulph to discharge the mortgage of 10 October 1797, of a messuage in Leamington Priors, late in the tenure of Robert Lawrence great-uncle of the Robert Lawrence part hereto, called Casemores House and Close, which descended to his father John Lawrence as in DR26/31-32; also a piece of land received in an exchange from Mathew Wise [DR26/30], late in the tenure of Nathaniel Lawrence and now of John Lawrence, son of Robert Lawrence, party hereto; several closes of pasture in Leamington Priors as described in DR26/38; and a piece of land in Sydenham Meadow described in the mortgage of 3 April 1773 recited herein. To extinguish the terms of years unexpired, created by the recited mortgages of 3 April 1773, 27 August 1794 and 10 October 1797, the said Thomas Hopper, John Whitehead and Dame Jane Biddulph assign the same to Richard Robbins of Lillington, gentleman, in trust to merge with the inheritance.
