Probate of the Will dated 19 July 1734, of Francis Halford of Alcester, mercer, bequeathing to his daughter Frances his real estate at Broome, with the reversion purchased of his son John Halford in Bidford and Grafton, together with all his personal estate, goods, plate, etc. the said Frances, when she reaches the age of 21, to pay to his daughter Anne, wife of Edward Whitehouse, £10, to his grand-children Edward and Anne Whitehouse, £1.1s.0d each, to his daughter, Elizabeth Barton £10, to his son John Halford 1 shilling, to his grandson Francis Halford £1. 1s.0d and to his servant Anne Tolley £5, his kinsmen Henry Halford of Stratford-upon-Avon and George Biddle of Harvinton, senior, to be trustees for the said Frances till she reach 21, and to have £1 1s. 0d each for their trouble. Witnesses: Thomas Jowling, John Harris and Rachel Harris. With letters of Administration in the Consistory Court at Worcester granted to Henry Halford, 23 August 1735.
