Discharge of Claims under Will: Halford

Description

Discharge by William Horton and Mary his wife (daughter and legatee of Edmund Mason, deceased) to Edmund Mason the younger (brother-in-law of the said William Horton) in respect of a legacy of £50 bequeathed by the will of Edmund Mason the elder, deceased, to the said Mary his daughter (see ER3/2400) and charged upon the lands of the said Edmund Mason, deceased, and also in consideration of £30 in discharge of a moiety of a legacy bequeathed by Edmund Mason the elder to Elizabeth his daughter, which legacy by the death of the said Elizabeth before the death of her mother, had become divisible between Mary and Coventry Mason, daughter and son of the said Edmund Mason the elder. Witnesses: William Canning, Thomas Mander and Thomas Willis.
