Description

Copy of the Will of Mary Salmon of Shipston-upon-Stour co.Worcester widow. Bequeathed to her daughter, Ann Hemmings of Shipston-upon-Stour, widow and her nephew, John Webb of Stowerton [Stourton] blacksmith, three freehold messuages in Upper Eatington [Ettington] in the occupation of Joseph Bacon, William Miles, William Taylor and Mark Long to fulfil certain trusts. To receive rents and profits from the same until her grandson, William Salmon should reach the age of 25 years and to continue to receive rents and profits for his use during his lifetime with reversion to his heirs. If the said William Salmon died without lawful issue a moiety of the said property to be held for the use of her daughter, Ann Hemmings and after her death to her grandchildren, Edwin Holtam and Mary Ann Print, wife of Israel Print of Mitford Bridge, farmer and their heirs. The other moiety to be held to the use of her other daughter, Jemima Richardson and her husband, Stephen Richardson successively, with reversion to the said Edwin Holtam and Mary Ann Print. Residue of effects to her said two daughters, Ann Hemmings and Jemima Richardson who were appointed Executrices. Witnesses: John Allen of Shipston-upon-Stour and William Mace of the same place. Will proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. Estate sworn under £100. Probate dated 13 August 1855. [Salmon - Hemmings]
