Conveyance: Pebworth, Broad Marston and Long Marston

Description

Conveyance by John Baile alias Beale of Burmington, yeoman to Thomas Wilkes the elder of Ladbroke, gent. (being part of a mutual division between them of an estate jointly inherited) of the Northern parts of three closes in Long Marston called Martins, Parsons and Meadow Closes. Reciting a Post nuptial Settlement dated 17 January 1667, of John Holtham of Pebworth, yeoman and Mary, his wife nee Goodwin alias Clack whereby in consideration of £120, he settled upon her brothers, Anthony Goodwin alias Clack of Pebworth, yeoman, John Goodwin of Moreton Bagot, clerk, and Thos Goodwin alias Clack of Saperton, co. Glos., yeoman, a messuage and closes in Pebworth, Broad Marston and Long Marston, to the use of the heirs of their bodies in tail male and in default of issue to the nephews of the said John Holtham jointly viz John Beale and Thomas Wilkes. John and Mary Holtham died without issue.
