Goldey family

Photographs relating to John Goldey (b. 1810/11), game keeper at Alscot Park, and other members of his family, including his sons, John H. Goldey, gardener (1851-1919), who worked at Compton Verney, and Enoch Goldey (1844-1869), murdered by poachers at Coxwold, Yorks., whilst in the service of Henry Thorold of Coxwold Hall; also a baptism certificate of his grand-daughter, Rose Emily Goldey (daughter of John H. Goldey), baptised at Kenilworth in 1888. Also included are two letters, writen in 2006, from Betty Hammond, grand-daughter of John H. Goldey, with details of the family's history.
