Burton Dassett: early deeds, Chepyngdorsett, a lease

Description

Lease for thirty years from Sir Richard Verney, knight to Humphrey Hundyse of Burton Dasset, yeoman, of a messuage and fifteen acres of land with meadow, pasture and appurtenances in the town and fields of Chepyngdorsett [Burton Dasset]. Which said messuage lies between land now in the occupation of Robert Geffis on the east, and land now in the occupation of Thomas Lucas on the west.

Paying annually at two usual terms six shillings and eight pence lawful money of England, and to indemnify Richard and his heirs from all services and payments due to the chief lord of the fee.

Humphrey and heirs to keep and maintain messuage in good repair. Distraint and eviction clauses.
