Chesterton: early deeds

Description

Grant by Robert Periny (?) to his son Michael, for homage and service,(excluding knight service to the king) of eight acres of land in the fields of Chesterton, four acres in the field towards [?] in tenure Philip Grant, and four acres in another field, towards 'Enchestre', also of Philip Graunt, with half an acre of meadow belonging to the said four acres. Also a mesusage in Chesterton, lying beside land of Reginald Commander on the west. To hold of grantor and heirs or assigns by inheritance, paying 19 pence annually: 10d at feast of the Purification and 9d at the Feast of St Peter in chains. Michael has paid half a mark for this grant.
