Description

Probate copy of the Will of Decimus Slatter of Lamcott [Lambcote Farm] in Upper Eatington [Ettington], yeoman, dated 3 December 1737. Bequests: To his son and heir, William; all his lands and premises subject to an annuity of £10 to be paid to his son Decimus Slatter and excepting lands in Dascott [Darlingscott] in Tredington co. Worcester and in Ilmington. Also gives to William all his rights in lands in Chadlington co. Oxford held under lease from Brasenose College Oxford. To his son Decimus; £10 annuity as above and also a messuage and lands in Ilmington purchased of Thomas Newland and £10 secured on a Mortgage of the house called Newlands. To his granddaughter Ann Eden; messuages and lands in Dascott paying £30 to his executor on marriage or attaining majority. If said Ann die, this property to to pass to granddaughter Mary Eden on the same conditions. Appoints his said son William as Executor. Witnesses: John Mander, Thomas Sabin and John Dodd, clerk to Mr. Mander. Codicil dated 8 October 1738. Charges lands of his son William with further annuity of £10 to be given to his said son Decimus. Also revokes payment of £30 on inheritance of lands in Dascott.
