Chesterton: early deeds


Gift with warranty by Robert Harper of Chesterton to Richard, son of John Jurdan, and Margery his wife, of half a virgate of land, with pasture and meadows and all appurtenances in the fields of Chesterton, which Thomas Plombe formerly held. To hold the same to the said Richard and Margery for their joint and several lives, paying annually 13 shillings and 4 pence at two usual terms: Lady Day and Michaelmas with one day mowing and one day reaping in lieu of all services saving two suit if courts and heriot on the death of either.
