Description
Indentures of Lease and Release and counterpart of each, the Release dated the 29th. September 1715 being a conveyance from William Brookes of Kenilworth, gentleman to Robert Taylor and his heirs of the Parish of St. Mary Warwick, butcher of the premises described in ER3/2792-2793 and a Toft in the Parish of St. Mary aforesaid being theretofore part of the Blackboy grounds adjoining the backside to the said messuage whereon a stable had been built and a thoroughfare out of Sheep Street through the said messuage called the Starre Inne into the Market Place which passage was 5 feet wide all which premises were in the occupation of Robert Taylor in consideration of £79 paid by Robert Taylor to the use of William Brookes for a term of 1000 yrs with remainder to the use of Robert Taylor such term of 1000 yrs being subject to a proviso for redemption upon payment of £200 by Robert Taylor to William Brookes. Signed: William Brookes and Robert Taylor. Seal of red wax a three masted ship. Witnesses: Benjamin Palmer, John Atterbury, and John Field. Lease from William Brookes to Robert Taylor of the same premises for one year at a peppercorn rent. Signed sealed and witnessed as before.
