Description

Probate of the Will of Robert Taylor of Warwick, butcher and innholder whereby he devised to his Executrix and Executor his several messuages in or near the Pound in Warwick and in the tenures of Samuel Wright, John Price, George Smith, Francis Lapworth, Robert Taylor the Elder and two others and also Brick Kiln Close in the Saltisford upon trust for sale for the settlement of future debts and legacies and he devised to his wife [Elizabeth] one moiety or half part of the house in which he then dwelt for her life subject to payment of any remaining debts with remainder to Testator's daughters Mary and Elizabeth and their heirs and in case they should die without issue to his son Robert and his heirs forever and he devised to his son Robert the other half moiety in the said messuage in fee simple subject to payment of debts etc. and he bequeathed to his daughter Elizabeth £110 and he bequeathed the residue of his estate to his wife and son Robert whom he appointed his Executrix and Executor. Witnesses: Robert Ryland, Faith English and Thomas Tracy. Proved in the Consistery Court of Worcester the 4th. May 1725
