Exemplification of a Recovery: Ashleworth (Gloucestershire)

Description

Indenture declaring uses of a Recovery between Thomas Gilbert of Lambcott in the Parish of Ettington, yeoman of the first part, John Bruton alias Burton of Ashellworth in the County of Gloucester, yeoman and Johan, his wife, mother of the said Thomas and late wife of Thomas Gilbert deceased of the second part and Robert Beale of the City of Gloucester, gentleman and John Fletcher of Ashellworth aforesaid, yeoman of the third part. Reciting that a Recovery had been suffered of certain hereditaments in the Parish of Ashellworth it was thereby witnessed that such Recovery should enure to the use of Robert Beale and John Fletcher who should stand seised to the use of Thomas Gilbert and to his heirs forever. Signed by the mark of John Burton Robert Beale and John Fletcher. Seals missing. Witnesses: William Burman, Clemens Hathaway and William Davis
