Lease and Release: Hatton

Description

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 28th March 1778 being a Conveyance from Joseph Eberall of Warwick, gentleman (only son, heir and devisee of Lawrence Eberall of Hatton, tanner deceased) to Charles Porter Packwood of Warwick esquire and his heirs, of two closes of pasture or arable containing 7 acres called the Barn Close and Farther Close or the Upper Mill Closes and bounded by the Mill Pool and Lands belonging to Joseph Eberall on the North and by the Lands of Charles Porter Packwood on the other sides thereof, which Closes were theretofore in the occupation of Robert Packwood and then of John Fairfax and were theretofore purchased by Joseph Eberall of Randolph Greenway, in consideration of £420 paid by the said Charles Porter Packwood to Joseph Eberall. Signed: Joseph Eberall. Seal of red wax no impression. Witnesses: Rogers Ruding and Francis Hiorne. Lease from Joseph Eberall to Charles Porter Packwood of the same premises for one year. Signed, sealed and witnessed as before.
