Covenant to Levy a Fine: Star Inn, New Street, Warwick

Indenture and Counterpart of a Covenant between Samuel Roberts alias Burford of Warwick, brickmaker and Eleanor, his wife of the first part, Francis Yardley of Kenilworth, gentleman of the second part and William Brookes of Kenilworth, yeoman of the third part, whereby it was agreed between the parties in consideration of 5/- paid by Francis Yardley to Samuel Roberts alias Burford and of £279 by William Brookes paid to the said Samuel Roberts that he the said Samuel Roberts and Eleanor, his wife would levy a Fine of a messuage with appurtenances in the Parish of St. Mary's Warwick in a street called Horse Cheaping near Peeble Lane, the street called Horse Cheaping therefore and New Street lying on the South of the said messuage, the Gaol Hall and a messuage in the occupation of Joseph Willis lying on the North, Peeble Lane and a messuage in the occupation of John Foster on the East and the Market Place and a messuage then in the occupation of John Burton on the West which said messuage was called Star Inne with appurtenances to Francis Yardley and his heirs forever to the use of William Brookes and his heirs forever.
