Grant of Land: Cow Honeybourne

Description

Indenture and Counterpart of Settlement between Thomas Bloxam alias Ingles of Aston Subedge, yeoman of the first part, Thomas Radbourne of Honeybourne alias Cow Honeybourne and John Rucke of Honeybourne aforesaid, husbandman of the second part, and Johane Carter, daughter and heir of William Carter late of Cow Honeybourne, husbandman deceased and Dorothy, his wife. of the third part, whereby Thomas Bloxam in consideration of £130 (whereof £43-6-8 was paid by William Carter and £86-13-4 was paid by the said Dorothy after the death of William Carter) granted to Thomas Radbourne. John Rucke and Johane Carter a messuage and one yard land with appurtenances in Honeybourne theretofore in the tenure of William Carter and a close with appurtenances in Honeybourne adjoining the said messuage also theretofore in the tenure of William Carter and a parcel of the Great Barne in Honeybourne theretofore used with the said premises also parcel of the lands called the Demesne Lands with appurtenances in Honeybourne theretofore in the tenure of William Carter for a term of 41 years if the said Dorothy should so long live or remain unmarried with remainder to the use of the said Johane Carter and the heirs of her body and in default of such issue to Richard Rucke (eldest son of John Rucke) and his heirs forever.
