Counterpart of a Lease from the Right Honourable Lord Viscount Weymouth, Baron of Warminster and Lord of the Manor of Buckland and Laverton Glos. to Martha Workman of Laverton in the Parish of Buckland, widow of a messuage with malthouse, garden, orchard and curtillage adjoining called Workman's Tenement together with other lands therein more particularly described, and a cottage with appurtenances in Laverton called Bundy's House and a close thereto belonging with an exception as to timber, for a term of 99 years if Joseph Workman (son of William Workman late of Buckland deceased and Martha Workman) and Elizabeth Whitford, servant to Martha Workman aged 20 years, or either of them should so long live, of a yearly rent of £2-3-2 also at the dropping of either said life the payment of £10 for a heriot and Suit of Court to the Manor Court of Buckland and Laverton. The consideration for the granting of that lease being the surrender of a previous Lease made by the said Viscount to Martha Workman of the premises, for the lives of the said Joseph Workman, Martha Workman then in being and of William Workman deceased and in consideration of £104.
