Counterpart of a Lease from the Most Honourable Marquis of Bath, Viscount Weymouth, Baron Thynne of Warminster to Hannah Hawkes of Laverton in the Parish of Buckland, widow, of a dwelling house situate near the School House in Laverton with garden adjoining and Dairy house, stable lying on the other side of the way a little below the said dwelling house and containing half an acre: all which premises were theretofore in the occupation of Mary Roberts afterwards of George Hawkes and then of Hannah Hawkes, except mines quarries and timber, for a term of 99 years then following if Betty Smith (formerly Nind) and Richard Roberts (then aged 22 years) and George Roberts (then aged 11 years) sons of Isaac Roberts or any of them should so long live. The consideration for the granting of such Lease being the surrender of a previous Lease dated 6th May 1782 by a former Marquis of Bath to George Hawkes, late husband of Hannah Hawkes and of £15-15-0.
