Counterpart of a Lease between the Right Honourable Thomas, Lord Viscount Weymouth, Baron Thynne of Warminster, Lord of the Manor of Buckland and Laverton Glos., Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter to William Rogers of Buckland, yeoman, of a cottage with garden adjoining containing 3 perches then lately, cutten off the Waste and called April Stile, in the Manor and Parish of Buckland theretofore in the occupation of Ann Hobbins and then of William Rogers for a term of 99 years if Ann Payton aged 26 years, the said William Rogers and William Rogers, son of the said William Rogers aged 21 years or any of them should so long live, at a yearly rent of 3/- and the payment of 6/- upon the dropping of any of the said lives as a heriot, and Suit of Court. The consideration for the granting of the said Lease being the surrender to the Lessor of a previous Lease of the premises made by him and the payment of £8-15-0.
