Lease and Counterpart: Buckland and Laverton, Gloucestershire

Lease and Counterpart from the Most Honourable Thomas, Marquis of Bath, Viscount Weymouth, Baron Thynne of Warminster, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter to John Rastall of Buckland, linen weaver of a meadow called Cornells Close containing two acres situate in the Parish of Buckland and Manor of Buckland and Laverton and then in the occupation of John Rastall for a term of 99 years then following if the said John Rastall, Richard Rastall and Samuel Rastall (sons of the said John Rastall) or either of them should so long live, at a yearly rent of 2/- also the payment of 5/- as a heriot upon the dropping of any of the said lives and Suit of Court. The consideration for the granting of that Lease being the surrender by John Rastall of a previous Lease made to him by the Lessor and of £4. paid by John Rastall. Lease signed: Bath.
