Lease and Release: Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Indentures of Lease and Release, the Release dated the 21st August 1839 between Nancy Horsley of Henley-in-Arden, widow of the first part, Thomas Matthews of Snitterfield, farmer, George Gibbs of Wolverton, farmer and Elizabeth Boucher of Snitterfield, widow of the second part, John Pimm of Stratford-upon-Avon, painter of the third part, and Richard Pimm of Stratford-upon-Avon, corn dealer of the fourth part. Reciting ER3/2927-ER3/2930 and that John Boucher had died having appointed by his last Will, Thomas Mann of Budbroke, Thomas Matthews, George Gibbs and Elizabeth Boucher his Executors, which Will was proved by the last three persons named, it was thereby witnessed that Nancy Horsley Thomas Matthews, George Gibbs and Elizabeth Boucher (at the discretion of Nancy Horsley) conveyed to John Pimm and Richard Pimm (the estate of Richard Pimm being upon trust for John Pimm) hereditaments in Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon in consideration of £400 paid by John Pimm to Nancy Horsley. Signed by the persons of the first and second parts. Seals of red wax no impression. Witnesses: Edward Lawrence Gibbs, William Wynne and William Erball. 2 membranes. Lease dated the 20th. August 1839 by Nancy Horsley and the persons of the second part above to John Pimm of the same property for one year. Signed and sealed as before. Witness: William Wynne.
